Meet the Photographer
Hey, my name is Lyn
I’m a local Gold Coast and Tweed Coast photographer and have lived here most of my life. It’s familiar to me in a deep, everyday way and it’s where my work is rooted.
I’m a mother, a wife and a qualified teacher. I bring that background into every session, reading the room, understanding kids and knowing when to step in and when to let moments unfold.
What I’m most passionate about is helping people feel comfortable, seen and happy being themselves.
So...why choose Wonderland Photography?
Tweed Heads Family & motherhood photographer
I know choosing a photographer can feel weirdly overwhelming, especially if you already hate being in photos. Honestly, most people tell me some version of “we’re so awkward” before we even start.
And to be fair, I get it.
But I'm not the photographer who is going to turn up pretending everything is effortlessly “a vibe” while your toddler is licking sand and dad's already sweating through his shirt. Real family life is a bit more human than that.
My sessions are relaxed, playful and loosely guided rather than heavily posed. I pay attention to what’s actually happening instead of trying to force moments...and I use games, movement and silly prompts to keep things feeling natural and fun. If your toddler wants to explore, cuddle, collect rocks, climb things or tell me long stories about dinosaurs, that’s usually where the magic is anyway.
I pay attention to personalities more than poses. The wild energy, the quiet little moments, the way your child reaches for your hand without thinking, the laughter that sneaks out when everyone stops trying so hard. That’s the stuff I notice.
Most families leave saying it felt more like hanging out with a friend than having professional photos taken, which is honestly the goal.
I’m not trying to create Pinterest-perfect family photos. I want to create photographs that still feel like your people years from now. Honest, relaxed, playful and full of the little things you’ll miss one day.

My Vision

Wonderland Photography is my heart and soul.
It’s where my love for people, storytelling and childhood nostalgia all come together.
I’ve always been someone who notices the small things. The gap-toothed smiles, the wild energy, the sandy feet, the way kids collect tiny treasures from the ground like they’re priceless. The quiet moments too, the way children lean into their parents when they’re tired, the look between people who love each other deeply, the little things that don’t seem important at the time but somehow become everything later on.
A lot of my work is inspired by the feeling of childhood itself. Playful, colourful, imaginative and a little bit wild. The kind of memories that feel like sun-warmed skin, salty hair, long summer afternoons and being completely yourself without even thinking about it.
I care deeply about creating photographs that feel honest and alive. The kind you come back to years from now because they remind you not just how life looked, but how it felt to live it.
That’s what Wonderland is to me.

I’m here for the quiet, honest moments you might not even notice.
The bursts of laughter, the split-second hugs and the actual feeling of your day-to-day life.
